Insta360 X6 Standard Bundle: The 8K 360° Camera for Your Rides

When you’re on a motorbike, the one thing you actually want to capture is never in the shot. The Insta360 X6 solves this problem by simply capturing everything: 360° all around, in up to 8K. You don’t have to adjust anything or make any changes while you’re on the road. After your ride, you can use the app to decide whether the road, the scenery, your bike, or even yourself should be in the shot. Even what’s happening to your right or left is always captured.

Full Screen Press: Start recording without taking off your Gloves

The largest everyday problem with action cameras on motorbikes is operating them while wearing thick gloves. That’s why the X6 no longer has any buttons on the display side—instead, it features a 2.32-inch OLED display with haptic feedback. Simply press harder on the display—anywhere—and recording starts. Press again to stop recording. If you still prefer a classic button, it’s still located on the side. Additional features include QuickCapture, gesture control, and voice control. The OLED display also consumes less power and can display “always-on” information while recording.

AI Director: While the camera is charging, a finished highlight video is created

You film all day, come home, and plug the camera into the charger. While it’s charging, AI Director reviews your footage, picks out the highlights, and edits them into a finished video. You’ll receive a push notification on your phone and can share the clip right away without having to open the app first. This all runs entirely on the camera using its built-in AI chips—no cloud connection or Wi-Fi required. If you don’t want this feature, you can simply turn it off. A cloud connection is also available as an optional ABO service.

Battery, Storage, Waterproof

The removable 2600 mAh Xtreme battery lasts up to 140 minutes at 8K/30 fps under lab conditions—which means noticeably longer runtime at 8K than with the X5. The camera recharges quickly via USB-C. It has 47 GB of built-in storage, so forgetting a memory card won’t cut your shoot short anymore. For longer shoots, we recommend a fast UHS-I microSD card, rated at least V30, formatted as exFAT, with a maximum capacity of 1 TB. The X6 is waterproof up to 20 m, provided all covers are properly sealed.

Compact Form Factor for Helmet, Chin Mount, and Handlebar

The X6 is significantly more compact than its predecessors and weighs about 195 g. This makes a noticeable difference, especially on the chin mount, where long camera bodies can quickly get in the way. It works just as well on handlebars, on fairings, or on a selfie stick.

Interchangeable Lenses 2.0

Due to their design, 360° cameras have highly curved lenses, and things do happen when you’re riding a motorbike. The X6’s lenses can be replaced—more easily and at a significantly lower cost than before. A stone chip is therefore no longer a reason for repairs, but simply calls for a replacement part.

Sound Without the Hassle: Windscreen Included as Standard, Cardo and Sena Compatible

Several microphones are positioned around the housing, all equipped with windscreens. So you don’t have to install anything extra to get decent audio at high speeds. For comments while riding, the X6 can be paired with the Insta360 Mic Air and Mic Pro microphones, as well as headsets from Cardo and Sena, including voice control.

Image quality: large sensor, better in low light

Compared to the X5, the sensor is about 30 percent larger, and the lens is also larger. Specifically, the X6 uses two 1/1.1-inch sensors. This really pays off in situations that are particularly interesting while riding: forest trails with alternating light and shade, tunnels, and evening rides. PureVideo mode is designed for low light and activates automatically when the appropriate mode is selected. For those who do post-processing: 10-bit color, I-Log, and Dolby Vision provide more flexibility during color grading. If you’re not interested in post-production, Dolby Vision ensures a clean image straight out of the camera.

8K at 50 frames per second, plus slow motion

The X6 films in 360° at up to 8K with 50 fps. This allows you to slow down footage by 50 percent without losing quality. If you want to use the camera with just one Lens as a classic action cam, it can shoot up to 5K—either with a wide-angle look or with corrected perspective without a fisheye effect. For photos, up to 120 megapixels are available—enough for zooming in or printing. It also features Flat Mode and InstaFrame 2.0 for videos that are ready to use right away without any post-processing.

Stabilization and Horizon Lock

FlowState stabilization smooths out jolts and vibrations, while the 360° horizon lock keeps the image level, even if the camera is rotating or you’re tilted.
