3-year warranty*
With the LouisCard, you get a 3-year warranty* instead of a 2-year warranty to cover defects that occur despite proper use.
When you use your LouisCard to make a purchase, a free 3-year warranty automatically applies to all products from the Louis range that you purchase as part of that transaction. The only exceptions to this are batteries, as well as shoes and boots. The warranty provider is Detlev Louis Motorradvertriebs-GmbH, Rungedamm 35, 21035 Hamburg.
- New products and their components exhibit a defect within 3 years of purchase due to manufacturing and/or material faults will, at Louis’ discretion, be replaced free of charge with a new product of the same quality or repaired.
- This warranty does not apply if the defect is due to improper handling, incorrect assembly of the product and/or failure to follow the operating instructions. You can exercise your warranty rights by either returning the affected product to a Louis branch or sending it by post to Louis, Customer Service, 21027 Hamburg. To ensure we cover the postage costs for a parcel, you can generate a DHL return label under ‘Returns’.
- If a repair or exchange is not possible for economic or other reasons, you will be refunded the purchase price. The decision as to whether economic or other reasons exist that make a repair or exchange impossible lies solely at the discretion of Louis. Louis shall be deemed to have fully satisfied its contractual obligations upon reimbursement of the purchase price.
- In the event of an exchange or repair, the warranty period does not restart. Statutory warranty claims remain unaffected.
- The proof of purchase showing the date of purchase serves as proof of warranty. The 3-year warranty commences on the date of invoicing and expires after 3 years. It is non-transferable.
- Insofar as Louis replaces goods or refunds the purchase price under the warranty, it is hereby agreed that ownership of the goods to be replaced/credited goods shall transfer from you to Louis or vice versa at the point in time when Louis receives the goods back from you or when you receive the replacement delivery or the refund from Louis.

Register via the form in your browser
This allows your LouisCard to be created directly through the registration form in your browser. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration with a single click (double opt-in). You will then receive a second email confirming that your registration has been successful. Please note that it may take 2–3 minutes for your customer number or LouisCard status to appear.
You won't receive the LouisCard as a physical card.* When shopping in-store, simply let us know that you have a LouisCard by providing your customer number at the register. Your customer number is also your LouisCard number.
