Note: The accessory handlebars are supplied without holes for securing the switch unit. These are positioned differently depending on the motorcycle model. Drilling holes in the handlebars for the locking mechanism is permitted: To do this, align your new handlebars optimally on the vehicle. Now mount the switch units on a trial basis, make sure there is sufficient clearance to the tank when the handlebars are turned fully, mark the hole for the locking mechanism and drill the handlebars to the appropriate DIAMETER. If you want to avoid the drill slipping off the smooth handlebar tube when converting the handlebars, if you tend to "miss" when centering, or if you somehow always drill crookedly into the workpiece, you should use the LSL drilling template, order no. 10005264 (see bottom of image) – better safe than sorry, with this template such mistakes cannot happen.
