How fortunate that this 52-sheet thread gauge is available. With it, the days of rough estimates, rummaging around in the screw box, and pointless trial and error are a thing of the past. With the help of this thread gauge, you can measure the pitch of external and internal threads and have the right counterpart at hand in no time.
To do this, place the appropriate template on the thread and check whether light penetrates.
- One side for British Whitworth threads with a flank angle of 55° (from 4 to 62 threads per Inch)
- One side for metric threads with a flank angle of 60° (for thread pitches from 0.25 to 6.0 mm)
