The next evolution of the Dainese Smart Jacket: Smart Air is an innovative airbag system that, thanks to its new minimalist design, is incredibly lightweight and ergonomic, and can be worn both over and under any outfit.
Extremely protective thanks to the revolutionary D-air Road system on the chest and back, the Smart Air offers maximum comfort thanks to its extreme lightness.
The strength of the new Smart Air lies in the airbag’s triple activation without the need for replacement, as well as the convenience of the gas generator, which you can easily replace yourself.

A comprehensive update is available for the D-air system, expanding its operation, control, and range of functions.

Important for you:
After the app update, a firmware update for the device is also mandatory.
Only with the firmware update installed can the full functionality, safety, and performance of the D-air system be guaranteed.

Size guide:
The sizes for the new airbag waistcoat are double sizes (XS/S; M/L; XL/XXL)!
The fabric of the Smart Jacket is stretchy and should fit over most items in your standard size.
For example, if you wear a size Bk, then XS/S is perfectly sufficient for you.

You can also adjust the width of the waistcoat using a zipper. If you always wear the waistcoat under a jacket but want to wear it over it for a change, that’s absolutely no problem. The side zippers instantly turn an XS into a Bk, an M into an L, and so on.

Important Notes on Use
To ensure the systems function reliably, please note the following:

• Use only for its intended purpose:
  The airbag is designed for motorcycle riding. Activities such as walking or running with the equipment activated can trigger false activations.
• Deactivate the system when not in use:
  Close the cover flap on the safety button and activate DEEP SLEEP mode to prevent accidental activation.
• Also, avoid improper storage:
  Do not place the airbag on furniture, in motorcycle cases, or in cabinets while it is turned on. Otherwise, accidental contact with the buttons could activate the system.
• Deactivate before dismounting:
  Open the on/off button, then wait for the shutdown sequence (rapid red flashing lights).
  BkO prevents accidental activation while refueling or during other movements.
• Check the battery status:
  Check the charge level before every ride—displayed on the user interface.

Why these rules are important
Following these guidelines prevents accidental activations. However, if activation occurs due to improper use, this is not considered a defect. In this case, you are responsible for covering the resulting repair costs.

Good to know:

• After 3 activations, the Waistcoat must be sent in, as only trained personnel are authorized to repair the airbags - Deployment service: Airbag replacement €249.95 + new gas cartridge €119.00 = €368.95
• The waistcoat should be sent in for maintenance every three years—Dainese’s maintenance service is free of charge. Only a flat shipping and handling fee of €59.99 is charged
• With the new Smart Air model , you can easily replace the gas cartridge yourself: Item Nr. 10057838 ( maximum 2 times; after the third deployment, the Waistcoat must be sent in)
